Girl and Woman: The Difference

The girl looks at herself in the mirror

And wishes she was thinner

The woman adores her curves

Without skipping her dinner

The girl reads beauty magazines

And yearns to be on the covers

The woman understands

Superficial overnight wonders

When a guy does not call

The girl cries her eyes out to sleep

The woman simply hangs out with her girlfriends

When her man is acting like a prick

The girl blindly follows

Every fashion trend in the market

The woman sets her own style

And can creatively transform a blanket

The girl does not eat

Afraid to ruin her figure

The woman can eat like a truck driver

Whist getting a pedicure

The girl will eventually grow tired

Lazy, boring, and old

The woman runs faster than a cheetah

She takes care of her body like gold

The girl cannot function

Without a constant companion

But the woman is independent

She can form her own labour union

The girl lives her life

In fear of getting older

But the woman is graceful

Her age is just a number

The girl needs approval

In every aspect of her life

Whilst the woman makes her own decisions

Pursuing only the things she likes

The girl sugarcoats her words

Not wanting to take a risk

But the woman is direct

She tells you exactly how it is

When challenges arise, the girl breaks

To her, the world has come to an end

The woman, on the other hand,

Simply allows herself to bend

The girl falls to her knees

And stays on the ground for a hundred years

The woman gets wounded, burned, and fractured

And can still walk in high heels

The girl is afraid to make a mistake

The woman has done it all

But the biggest difference is that

The woman is wiser, proudly standing tall
